My mom is 54 years old and drives and older Ford Crown Victoria. She left work at the University of Maine on Monday, Nov. 30th, 2009. Her car was making an awful noise in the front end. She stopped at Swett's for help. They put her car on the lift, told her she needed a brake job on the front, made her an appt., gave her a quote of almost $300.00 and sent her on her way. My mom had to stop at VIP on Hogan Rd. as the noise was really bad and she was scared. VIP put her car on the lift and found that her tire was about to come off. ALL the nuts that hold the tire were loose. VIP told her that she was Very Lucky that her tire did not fall off on the highway. My mom's brakes are fine. Swett's is another company that will take advantage of women with vehicle problems. BEWARE!!!!!!
